Categories and tags help organize your blog content and improve discoverability. They also enhance SEO through dedicated listing pages and configurable meta information.
Categories — Broad, hierarchical groupings. These act as the main sections of your blog.
Every post should belong to at least one category.
Examples: Tutorials, Product News, Engineering
Tags — Specific, granular labels describing topics within a post.
A post can have multiple tags.
Examples: react, api, performance, mobile
In short:
Use categories for structure, and tags for detail.
